About This Event
The Molló Trail is a cross-border mountain race that commemorates the paths taken by men and women who fled into exile to France during the final months of the Spanish Civil War in January and February 1939. The race follows the historic routes of retreat and exile, departing from Molló and passing through Coll d'Ares, Coll Pregon, Espinavell, and Puig Moscós in the easternmost part of the Natural Park of the Headwaters of the Ter and Freser rivers. This transfrontier event is part of the Northern Catalonia and Girona Counties cross-border race project within the Valls Catalanes Trail Running Challenge. Organized by Ski Club Camprodon and the Molló Town Council, the race serves as both a athletic challenge and a meaningful tribute to those who made this difficult journey decades ago. The 2026 edition will introduce route modifications while maintaining the historical significance that defines this unique mountain running experience.
