About This Event
The KufTrail UAM combines competitive trail running with academic collaboration, serving as both the official Unisport Austria Meisterschaft for Austrian university students and an open race welcoming runners of all levels. Set in the alpine town of Kufstein, Tyrol, this event is organized as a practical project by students from the FH Kufstein Tirol's Sport, Culture & Event Management program. The race features both UAM championship categories for enrolled Austrian university students competing for official medals, and open divisions that welcome all runners regardless of academic affiliation. With courses that traverse the challenging terrain of the Stadtberg, runners experience technical trail conditions over varying distances while enjoying the scenic Austrian Alps backdrop. Beyond the competitive elements, the KufTrail UAM emphasizes inclusivity with dedicated support for adaptive athletes and comprehensive accessibility measures at the start and finish areas. The event's student-driven organization brings fresh energy to the Austrian trail running scene while maintaining high standards for safety and race management.
