About This Event
Set in the pristine nature of the Krušné Mountains surrounding the highest peak in the region, this trail race offers a unique downhill experience starting directly from the summit of Klínovec. Runners are transported to the mountaintop via cable car, then follow courses that descend through the untouched landscape of this Czech border range. The event features three main distances, each offering a predominantly downhill profile that showcases the natural beauty of the Krušné Mountains. Despite the favorable elevation profile, the mountainous terrain provides its own challenges through varied surfaces including technical terrain, gravel paths, and forest roads. As part of the UTMB Index Races system, the longest distance offers international trail running points, while special timed sections and finish line features add competitive elements throughout the race weekend.
