About This Event
Kåsjön Trail offers authentic trail running through forest, paths, and wilderness just 15 minutes from Göteborg. Set in the heart of Sävedalens AIK Orientering's training forest around beautiful Kåsjön lake, this event combines technical terrain with roots and rocky knolls in a truly wild setting despite its urban proximity. The race is organized as a non-profit event by the local orienteering club, with a deliberate limit of 750 participants to preserve the intimate forest experience. Runners navigate through varied terrain that includes wet passages, narrow technical sections, and forest paths that provide a genuine challenge while remaining accessible to trail running newcomers. All finishers receive medals and refreshments, creating a welcoming community atmosphere that celebrates both competitive achievement and the simple joy of forest running.
