About This Event
Set in the stunning mountain landscape of Fjällnäs, Tänndalen, the Hamra Trail Run has grown from its 2022 origins into a cherished intimate event limited to just 150 runners across three distances. The race maintains its vision as a small, family-oriented gathering that prioritizes runner experience over scale. The courses wind primarily along existing trails and paths through the remarkable Swedish mountain terrain, with the notable exception of the challenging ascent and descent of Skenörsfjället. On clear days, runners are rewarded with magnificent views from Skenörsfjället and Malmagsvålen peaks. Operating from Pensionat Strandgården as its base, the event emphasizes safety and self-sufficiency, requiring comprehensive mandatory gear including navigation aids, weather protection, and first aid supplies. The race weekend includes pre-race briefings, live tracking, and post-race celebrations with prize ceremonies and a runner dinner.
