About This Event
The Endless Shore traces Norway's stunning coastline from Jeløy in Østfold to Nesodden in Akershus, offering runners an unforgettable journey through some of the most scenic landscapes in eastern Norway. This coastal trail adventure blends easy-running coastal paths with rocky shorelines, twisted roots through pine forests, charming small towns, dense woodlands, and spectacular fjord views. The route winds through four municipalities along the Oslofjord, predominantly following forest trails with sections of gravel roads and minimal asphalt. Runners navigate using GPS devices as the course relies on minimal marking, requiring self-sufficiency and strong navigation skills. The event emphasizes environmental responsibility with sustainable wooden medals crafted locally on Nesodden and strict Leave No Trace principles throughout the course.

The ultimate coastal challenge starts at 8:00 AM with a scenic loop around beautiful Jeløy island before joining the main coastal route. This extended version includes additional sections through Hallangspollen's beaches and past Måren fire tower, offering the most comprehensive tour of the Norwegian fjord coastline.
