About This Event
The Crete Senesi Ultramarathon unfolds through the distinctive clay hills of Tuscany's Sienese countryside, where gray-blue earth creates a landscape unlike anywhere else in the world. Starting from the historic center of Rapolano Terme and finishing at the Expo Parco dell'Acqua, this fourth edition showcases rolling hills dotted with solitary oaks and cypresses, isolated farmhouses, and the ethereal beauty of the crete senesi. Scheduled for late spring, runners experience the region's gentle climate as they traverse this unique geological terrain. The event extends beyond racing with Saturday activities including a castle tour at San Gimignanello, wine and food tastings, and an eco-walk suitable for families, creating a comprehensive celebration of Tuscan trail culture.
