About This Event
Burriac Atac is a night mountain trail race that takes runners through the spectacular landscapes of Baix Maresme in Catalonia. The race begins at the town hall square in Vilassar de Mar and finishes on the beach in Cabrera de Mar, offering a unique adventure of running under headlamp through technical mountain terrain. Now in its 20th edition, this demanding nocturnal race combines physical challenge with the adventure of night trail running. The event is organized by PIRI with support from the municipalities of Vilassar de Mar, Cabrera de Mar, Cabrils, and Argentona, creating a community celebration that extends beyond the race itself. The race starts at 21:00 and features a cutoff time of 01:00 the following day, emphasizing the serious nature of this mountain challenge. Aid stations provide both liquid and solid refreshments throughout the course, and participants receive technical commemorative shirts, goodie bags, and post-race refreshments on the beach.
