About This Event
Brașov Marathon stands as one of Romania's premier mountain running events, drawing thousands of runners annually from across the country and beyond to the heart of the Carpathians. The race explores the Tâmpa, Postăvaru, and Piatra Mare massifs while showcasing the most beautiful historic and natural areas surrounding Brașov. The event offers a unique blend of mountain trail running and cultural immersion, beginning in Piața Sfatului at the city's historic center and passing iconic landmarks including the Black Church and Weavers' Bastion. The courses ascend through dense forests and alpine meadows, providing spectacular views of Brașov and its surroundings with each kilometer. As part of the Carpathian Circuit, Brașov Marathon provides ITRA and UTMB points, allowing participants to accumulate valuable points for qualification to international mountain running competitions while experiencing the beauty of Romania's Carpathian landscapes.
