About This Event
Björnlunken brings together runners, cyclists, and families each spring for one of Sweden's most beloved terrain races. Set in the forests around Kungsör, this grassroots event combines the spirit of community with the joy of trail running and mountain biking through classic Swedish terrain. The course winds through beautiful terrain along the pine-covered esker ridge between Alberga and Kungsör, offering runners and cyclists a taste of traditional Scandinavian trail running on paths and gravel roads with moderate rolling terrain and some technical sections. Now in its 42nd year, Björnlunken has become a cherished spring tradition that welcomes everyone from children taking their first steps in trail running to seasoned veterans. Organized entirely by volunteers from Kungsörs Sportklubb, the event embodies the inclusive Swedish approach to outdoor sports. All proceeds support the club's youth programs, particularly mountain biking initiatives, making each registration a contribution to the next generation of trail runners and cyclists.
