About This Event
Part of the Classic Element Trail Series, BigSea represents the water element with a stunning coastal trail running experience on the Isle of Purbeck in Dorset. Starting and finishing on the beautiful sands of Knoll Beach at Studland, this event takes runners through some of England's most dramatic coastal landscapes. The single-lap routes traverse iconic landmarks including The Purbeck Hills, Corfe Castle, Kimmeridge Bay, Chapmans Pool, Dancing Ledge, Durlston Castle, and Old Harry Rocks. With four distance options ranging from half marathon to 54K ultramarathon, the event offers challenging terrain along ancient rugged coastlines that have been shaped by centuries of wind and water. BigFeat Events has designed this race to challenge, awaken, and inspire runners through diverse coastal terrain that showcases the raw beauty of Dorset's Jurassic Coast. The well-marked courses feature fully stocked aid stations with both traditional trail food and partnership products from Precision Fuel & Hydration, making this a comprehensive trail running experience for runners of all levels.
